In 1994, Elaine Dodson (at right with daughter and co-host Chelsea Madrigal) began Mexico Sacred Journey Retreats, bringing women, groups and individuals to relax, rejuvenate and regenerate in the holistic village of Tepotzlan. For over 40 years, Elaine's mission has been to empower women in body, mind and spirit.

Elaine and her husband moved to Mexico “to retire” in the early ‘90s. She quickly became friendly with the local artisans, holistic practitioners, healers, drummers, shamans, and medicine men and women in and around Tepoztlán. Within two years, she and her husband founded Mexico Sacred Journey Retreats as a way to share the beauty, magic and power of this special place. What started as visits by family and friends, turned into a body, mind, spirit self growth journey with women coming from all over the world to experience the transformational healing energies of this ancient Aztec-Nahuatl village.

Each July she hosts an annual "Goddess Gathering" bringing together women from all over the world to restore their vision, share their spirit and celebrate the power of the Divine Feminine. In the Fall, she and Eduardo Morales guide groups through a "Spiritual Rebirthing" during Mexico's famous Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos) celebrations.

Chelsea Madrigal is the daughter of and partners with Elaine Dodson for Sacred Journey Retreats 2012. Along with teaching Rewrite The Monologue, she plays many roles in this retreat as a singer, songwriter, musician, light worker, healer and facilitator. She is here to be a guide and ally on your journey.

Each retreat has a different theme and intention, so many women have come back and back, as each time we come back, our journey takes us to a deeper level, expanding our individual and collective awareness f our beauty, wellness, personal power and journey with the Divine.

We achieve this through transformational gatherings and experiences in Mexico and Dallas, and our prayers and support for each other have proven to help each of us in living our daily lives to be more present, secure, and confident.
